sydney

In loving memory of Sydney Armstrong, Board Member and one of the founding members of Triangle Beagle Rescue of NC. Sydney passed away on Saturday, December 6th.

The outpouring of love and concern for Sydney and her canine babes has been tremendous. Rest assured that Syd’s dogs are doing great. Two are likely to be adopted right away by their foster parents and the other three are happy in foster homes. We have also had several offers for their adoptions, so her babies will not be unloved or unwanted for a second.

Syd’s life touched some many people; it’s understandable that we would like to memorialize her and celebrate her life. Several have indicated that they would like to contribute financially in Syd’s name, honoring her longstanding dedication to animals. Contributions honoring Syd and her work with TBR may be made by going to the Contribution page and clicking on the Monetary Donations.

A "Sydney Armstrong Celebration" is being planned to occur in February, around the time of her birthday. The likely location will be Duke’s campus. We will let you all know about the particulars as soon as possible. We hope that many of her friends from all of her groups: SPCA, Movie Club, Agility Buddies, TBR and her other organizations will be able to attend. We also anticipate inviting 5 honored guests: The couch potato crew - Sadie Mae, Snickers, Sassy, Miss Millie & Marshall.

We are honored and so very lucky to have been a part of Syd's life. Her caring heart touched lives far and wide, both human and canine, and we will be forever grateful to have known this wonderful and gentle soul.

Thank you

Ollie, a TBR alumni,
living the good life.
Most of our dogs are rescued from such horrible conditions, that it makes our hearts sing when we see the wonderful lives the adopted beagles are now living. Thank you volunteers, adopters and contributors.

We love receiving stories and pictures of our TBR alumni. Send them to us and we may just post them on our web page.

TriBeagles celebrates our Senior Dogs by offering a reduced adoption fee for these wonderful dogs. Their reduced fee is noted with their picture in the gallery. One of our adopters of three of our beagles, has generously offered to donate $100 for 10 of the dogs now currently listed as Senior Dogs when they are adopted, thus making up the difference. UPDATE: Six of the seniors have already been adopted and TBR has been given $600 for those dogs. How lucky are our doggies?
If you have sent in an application and haven't heard back from us in 10 days, please fill out another application.

Due to increasing vet costs, we have raised our adoption fee to $250.00.

If you return your dog to TBR within 30 days and do not exchange the dog for another dog, all but $100 of the adoption fee will be returned to the adopter. This increase in the non-refundable amount from $50 to $100 goes into affect on May 1st, 2008.

TBR's Adoption Process

1. Fill out an application online
2. A volunteer will call to do a phone interview
3. Another volunteer will call to arrange a home visit

Hint: Wait until you have done all three steps of the Adoption Process and have been declared to be an Approved Adopter before you get your heart set on one particular beagle. There may be other applicants further on in the adption process who are interested in the same beagle. We have new beagles coming into the rescue every week.
Sadly, there is a never ending supply of beagles needing to be rescued.

Foster Homes Desperately Needed
Do you have room in your home and your heart for a beagle who needs love and shelter? We need foster homes! You provide the love and the home, we provide the rest! We have several dogs in our rescue right now who are in need of foster homes and many more beagles are in local shelters who we would like to bring into the rescue. We operate solely out of individual homes and do not have any kennel space or boarding facility. We need YOU to be a Triangle Beagle Rescue foster! Please read more about fostering at http://www.tribeagles.org/adopt/foster.php and fill out a foster application today.
