History
Triangle Beagle Rescue of NC ("TriBeagles") was started in the summer
of 1999 by Susan Hogarth and a group of Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill area beagle enthusiasts who
want to see all homeless beagles in the lifetime homes they deserve. In the
summer of 2000, TriBeagles formed a Board of Directors and began the incorporation
process. We became incorporated in the fall of 2000 as a Federal
tax-exempt organization. We are committed to bringing together
humans and hounds for a lifetime of love and pleasure in each other's company.
What's this TriBeagles thing all about?
The Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill area of North Carolina is often referred to as
the 'Triangle', so the rescue is simply named for the region we started in.
The name "TriBeagles" is often used as the rescue's name just because
we think it sounds cool.
We are located in the Triangle area (Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill) of North Carolina.
We do not have a central kennel facility, but instead a network of foster homes
throughout the area who foster our beagles.
Because we work with foster homes and do not have a kennel, we are not able to accept 'drop-off' beagles who are being surrendered by their families. Instead, we may be able to help you find a home for your dog if you fill out our surrender form.
If you live outside the Triangle area and wish to adopt, please inquire. We do know of beagles throughout North Carolina, and some of our fosters live outside the Triangle area.
