Due to the high volume of applications at this time, it may take up to 10 days before we can contact you for a phone interview. We truly want to work with each and every applicant so please do not worry if you are not immediately contacted. Feel free to come to adoption events, introduce yourself and talk with us more about your application. Thank you for your patience.

How to adopt

• Before filling out an application, read the guidelines to make sure you are ready to adopt a beagle.
• If you are interested in adopting a puppy, please read our Puppy Guidelines
• Browse the list of available beagles and see if there are any that are of particular interest to you and your family.
• Fill out the Adoption Application completely and honestly. We do want to make the best match between our beagles and your lifestyle. If there is a particular beagle you are interested in, please mention his or her name on the application and what about that beagle were you interested in.
• Be patient. Once you’ve submitted an application it may take us 7-10 days before a volunteer can contact you for a phone interview. Any questions or concerns we may have about your application and/or suitability for a beagle will be discussed at this time.
• A home visit is scheduled to cover any other concerns we may have in addition to preparing you and your family for a beagle.
• If you make it this far, you are finally ready to adopt. With the help of a Tribeagles volunteer, we will help you to find the best beagle for you and the Final Adoption becomes official and you can proudly say that you are the rightful owner of a new beagle!

  NOTE: Not all families are approved because our guidelines are fairly strict. Many times applicants are denied, not because they will make poor dog owners, but rather because they are not particularly suited to meet the needs of a beagle.
