Cherry has had quite the journey. She came in as a stray with her nine puppies and proved to be an incredibly devoted mama. True to her name, she is as sweet as can be and has been great with kids. Now it’s her turn to find a loving home where she can be cared for and continue learning what it means to be part of a family.

Cherry is still discovering the comforts of indoor life. Toys are new to her, but she’s beginning to appreciate the joy of a soft, cozy bed. She absolutely loves treats, and in true hound fashion, mealtime is her favorite time of day.

Because she’s new to living inside, Cherry is learning the basics. Everyday household noises can still startle her as well as sudden outdoor noises, and she’s getting used to walk, though her nose definitely leads the way! A home with a secure fenced yard would be ideal, giving her a safe space to explore and follow her instincts.

Cherry will thrive with a patient and understanding adopter who can help her build confidence and learn good manners. She’s curious and still figuring things out, so she may get into things if not supervise, but with consistency, structure, and love, she has so much potential to blossom.

She’s been an amazing, nurturing mom, now she deserves someone who will show her the same care, patience, and love as she begins this next chapter of her life.
