Erin is a gentle, loving senior beagle who is ready to leave her past behind and settle into a life full of comfort and care. Rescued from a shelter in Lenoir County after being found on the side of the road, Erin arrived extremely thin, dehydrated, and anemic. With time, patience, and plenty of love, she has been on the mend and is now ready to find a family of her own.
Now at a healthy 20 pounds, Erin is a petite little lady with a heart full of sweetness. She can be a bit skittish at first, but once she feels safe, her affectionate personality truly shines. She adores cuddling, whether it is with her people or another dog, and she never turns down head scratches or a tasty treat.
Erin gets along well with other dogs and enjoys their company, but she would also be perfectly happy as the only pup soaking up all the attention. She is great with kids and brings a calm, gentle presence to the home.
This cozy girl loves the simple things in life, soft dog beds, lounging on the sofa, and being close to her humans. She sleeps quietly in her crate at night, though she would much rather be out and about during the day. She is very proud of the fact that she is now house trained and knows to go outside to potty.
Erin may be in her senior years, but she still has so much love to give. She is looking for a patient, caring home where she can feel safe, cherished, and finally at ease. If you are looking for a loyal companion who will happily curl up beside you and be your shadow, Erin just might be your perfect match.
