Hi my name is Fido and I am an old soul who enjoys living life at a slow pace. A perfect day for me includes bathing in a sunbeam in a soft bed, snuggling closely on the couch, gazing lovingly into the eyes of my humans, receiving head scritches, and of course stretching out my beagle belly treats.
My foster mom thinks I’m so brave. You see, I seek out human affection and pets even though I’m still working on overcoming past trauma that leaves me a little nervous. A Good Samaritan witnessed me being forced out of a vehicle and onto the side of the road in Gastonia. She picked me up and cared for me until TBR could help me being my rescued life!
When I come up to you for some head rubs, I may cower a little, but please don’t stop petting me! The pets feel so good and you are helping me find my confidence again. I enjoy human connection so much that I would do best in an environment where my family is home the majority of the time. I get along great with my foster brother, but would also do fine as an only dog – that just means more attention for me!
I promise we’ll get along swimmingly as long as you don’t mind my big boy snores.
