Macy

Macy is a sweet senior beagle weighing about 25 pounds who is ready to leave her days as a stray behind and start the next chapter of her life with a family of her own. She has already had a dental cleaning, is heartworm negative, and will be spayed before adoption.

Like many senior dogs, Macy has a few manageable medical needs. She is currently being treated for a chronic ear infection and likely has allergies that make her feet itchy. She’s taking Apoquel and enjoys regular baths with a medicated shampoo to help keep her comfortable.

Macy is the definition of low key. She loves carrying around little stuffed toys, happily chews on a favorite treat, and never says no to a cozy nap on the couch. She’s so quiet that her foster family has only heard her bark while dreaming. She enjoys joining the other dogs for a little play when they get excited, but she’s perfectly content with a relaxed lifestyle.

She rides wonderfully in the car, was a perfect lady during her bath, and enjoyed her trip to the pet store to pick out a special treat. Macy is also doing well with crate training and is currently working on her house training.

Because Macy came to the rescue as a stray, we don’t know how she does with cats or children. What we do know is that she has a gentle, easygoing personality that makes her a joy to have around.
