|Good on leash|
I was found by a Good Samaritan a couple of months ago chained to a tree , covered in fleas, and starving. I was taken to the vet and the dogtor discovered I had heartworms, hookworms, and an ear infection. I am a sweet girl and I get along great with other dogs and kids too. Sadie Mae is settling into her foster home very nicely indeed. She sleeps quietly through the night in her crate, although I think she’d be okay eventually having free rein of the house since she is calm and not destructive. She likes short walks, sunning herself on the deck, and has already found her favorite chair. I will be available for adoption once my treatment is complete.
This is what my foster mom said about me:
Even though she was abandoned, Sadie clearly lived in a home at one time and was well cared for, because she loves soft beds, warm lavender baths, mani/pedis, and being close to her people. The first two nights, she slept quietly in her crate overnight. But she is a perfect houseguest — no potty inside, quiet, non-destructive — so she’s had the run of the house ever since. (The only caveat is that the trashcan has to be locked up since Sadie we just found out Sadie likes helping herself to snacks!)
She tolerates our current 4-month-old puppy, but is not especially interested in wrestling or being bitten. She plays with three other neighborhood dogs around her age every morning and likes exploring with them. She already has a favorite chair with a soft blanket and she looooooves spending time with a bully stick.
