Meet Georgia!

At just 2 years old and around 20 pounds, Georgia is a sweet, sensitive little beagle with so much love to give. She may need a little extra time to feel comfortable in new situations, but once she trusts you, her affectionate personality begins to shine.

Georgia is looking for a patient, understanding family who can help her continue building confidence at her own pace. New people, places, and experiences can make her nervous, so she would do best in a relatively quiet, predictable home with people who understand that trust takes time.

One thing that makes Georgia feel more secure is the companionship of other dogs. She absolutely thrives with canine friends and will need a home with friendly dogs. Because of her sensitivities and specific needs, Georgia also requires a home without children, cats, or other small animals. Her ideal family would be home frequently and committed to providing the consistency, reassurance, and patience she needs.

Once Georgia feels comfortable, she’s a fun-loving girl who enjoys walks, hikes, car rides, and playing with her canine companions. After a little adventure, she’s perfectly happy settling in for a relaxing nap. She also loves belly rubs and affection from her favorite people.

And Georgia has the sweetest way of showing her love! When she’s feeling affectionate, she’ll actually reach out with her paw and pet her foster mom right back. She’s also an excellent listener. Tell her about your day, and she’ll tilt her adorable little head, look into your eyes, and give you her undivided attention. No judgment, just a sweet little companion who makes you feel like you’re the most important person in the world.

Georgia still has a bit of puppy curiosity and may get into things when left unsupervised. Her forever family will need to continue her crate routine when she’s home alone to help keep her safe and out of trouble.

Georgia isn’t the kind of dog who will immediately run up to strangers or settle into a new environment overnight. She needs someone willing to celebrate the little victories, respect her boundaries, and give her the time she needs to feel safe.

For the right family, Georgia has the potential to become an incredibly devoted companion. Watching her confidence grow and earning her trust will make every milestone that much more meaningful.
