Georgia is a petite 10-pound beagle with a gentle heart and a sweet, easygoing personality. She was found wandering along the side of the road in Wilkes County and is now settling into foster life while she waits for a family of her own.

Georgia can be a little skittish when she first encounters new people, sounds, or surroundings, but she has already made amazing progress in just a short time. Once she realizes she is safe, her happy personality begins to shine. Her tail is almost always wagging, and she absolutely loves belly rubs!

One of Georgia’s favorite things is small stuffed toys. She has an adorable habit of carrying them into the backyard and carefully hiding her treasures behind bushes or underneath leaves. She is also happy to share with her canine friends.

Georgia is a laid-back, go-with-the-flow kind of girl who is perfectly content letting another dog take the lead. She loves being around people, children, and other dogs, and she is also good with cats. She has been very quiet in her foster home and has only barked once so far. Unlike many beagles, Georgia is not particularly food obsessed.

Georgia is crate trained, does well on a leash, and would make a wonderful companion for a family looking for a kind, gentle, and affectionate little beagle. With a little patience as she gets comfortable, Georgia will reward her family with plenty of tail wags, belly-rub requests, and love.
