Crouton

Just like his name, Crouton is the perfect little addition to make life a little better!

This adorable 2 ish-year-old was found as a stray in Suffolk, Virginia, before making his way to Triangle Beagle Rescue. While he can be a little shy at first, give him a little patience and a quiet environment, and you’ll discover the sweetest, goofiest little guy with what his foster calls a permanent smile.

Crouton has a soft spot for soft, plush toys. He gently carries them around the house before tucking them safely into his crate—his favorite cozy spot. When he’s feeling relaxed, he’ll come running to climb into your lap, immediately flop over belly-up, and politely request belly rubs. It’s impossible not to smile.

He’s making great progress with house training, enjoys his walks, and does well on a leash. Crouton also loves playing with other dogs but would be just as happy soaking up all the attention as your one-and-only.

Because much of his past is a mystery, Crouton is still learning that the world is a safe place. New people—especially men—can make him a little nervous at first, so he’ll do best with a patient family willing to let him build trust at his own pace. The reward? A gentle, affectionate, goofy best friend who will love you with his whole heart.

Oh…and if you happen to have a Pup-Peroni treat or two, you’ll be his favorite person in no time!
